Are you a creative thinker, committed, enthusiastic and full of ideas? Do you want to explore the world around you visually through photographs, Gifs, animations or film? If so then A Level Photography is for you.

Content

We place emphasis on the individual, and encourage our students to use Photography to explore their own interests and ideas, rather than set traditional projects. This is an exciting new course this year.

You will be given one-to-one guidance to help you direct your studies in a purposeful way so that you achieve your potential at examination.

Special Features

There is a studio exclusively for Sixth Form use, a Sixth Form Resources Centre, and art exhibitions at the end of every term. We have professional photography studio equipment and high quality print facilities. There are opportunities to talk and work with practising artists and trips to galleries and universities.

Entry requirements

Please refer to the John of Gaunt entry requirements.

Attendance

Coursework is now done over the full two years with a final exam project in the end of year 13. You will not get a grade at the end of year 12. You must complete the full two years.
